The April Carousel
This UK art-pop project evokes the golden haze of The Beatles’ late-era melancholy filtered through a bedroom pop lens.
Fronted by singer songwriter Finn Vale — a quiet observer of emotional undercurrents and fleeting moments. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist raised between grey coastal towns and slow-burning city lights, Finn weaves everyday melancholies into dreamy, textured pop.
Also sharing vocals & guitars is the multi talented and “best mate” Donza Wild, Together the band spins a sound that’s equal parts vintage and vulnerable — a carousel of soft rhythms, dreamy guitar swirls, and lyricism that lingers like a fading love letter.
“A carousel felt like the right metaphor,” says Vale. “It’s beautiful, it spins, it plays this strange music — and it always brings you back to where you started, except you’re not quite the same anymore. That’s how these songs work. They’re little returns”.
With each track, The April Carousel invites listeners to step aboard a revolving world of fleeting beauty, unresolved change, and quiet transformation. It’s not about where the ride ends — it’s how it shifts you on the way around.
